Time:2017-09-10 Hit::232 times

        From Aug 8 to Sep 2, 2017, Wang Wei, Curator of AMGX, Liao Wei, Paleoanthropology Research Center of AMGX and Tian Chun of Guangxi University for Nationalities went to Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology for cooperative study. During their staying in Beijing, the specimen of ancient apes and orangutan fossils from Chuifeng Cave, Mohui Cave, Ganxian Cave, Naxian Cave, Yicun Cave, Bajiao Cave and Shanzu Cave had been scanned through high precision Mico-CT in the key lab of Vertebrate Evolutionary Systematics, which revealed the 3D structure of these fossils and laid a solid foundation for future study.

        Meanwhile, they used the leisure time of the lab and carefully observed the preserved living samples of macaque, gibbon and orangutan and compared them with the fossil specimen.
